Launched in October 2002, Creative Remedies is an Arts and Health website developed for health professionals, artists, local authorities and arts organisations across Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

Led by Staffordshire County Council's Arts and Museum Service and Arts Council England, West Midlands, Creative Remedies is a regional resource that enables individuals and groups involved in arts and health work, and those who wish to become involved, access to experience, good practice, information and creative ideas.

The lead partners are keen to build on the achievements made in the first eighteen months, whilst equally, wishing to improve in some areas and address issues that include the site's maintenance, marketing and ongoing development. To achieve this, a bid to ACE-WM's Grants to the Arts scheme was submitted in November 2003. The bid sought to address key development areas related to the Creative Remedies site and create a Staffordshire wide Arts & Health Forum (the first of it's kind in any county). Key to this was the creation of a Project Co-ordinator's post. In May 2004 Creative Remedies Future Remedies was awarded £59,000 for three years of development work and with additional resources from partners, the total pot for the project stands at £77,000.
